These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the YTWatch application (“the app”), operated by Tianqi Wang, an independent developer based in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What YTWatch Is (and Is Not)

YTWatch is an independent, third-party client for viewing YouTube content on Apple Watch. YTWatch is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google LLC, or Apple Inc. “YouTube” is a trademark of Google LLC. “Apple Watch” is a trademark of Apple Inc.

All video content available through the app is hosted, owned, and controlled by YouTube and its content creators. Videos are played through YouTube’s official embedded player. We do not host, store, upload, or distribute any video content.

2. YouTube Terms Apply

The app uses YouTube API Services. By using the app, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Your use of YouTube content through the app must comply with YouTube’s terms and community guidelines.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use YouTube) to use the app.

4. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

7. Availability; Changes to the Service

The app depends on third-party services (YouTube API Services, the App Store) that we do not control. Features may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable if those services change, and we may modify or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the app functional, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. Intellectual Property

The app’s software, design, and branding are owned by us. All YouTube content, trademarks, and channel materials belong to their respective owners. If you believe content accessible through the app infringes your rights, note that content is hosted by YouTube — please use YouTube’s own reporting and takedown tools. For issues concerning the app itself, contact [email protected].

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in the EU, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time; deleting the app removes locally stored data. Sections 8–10 survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
